With over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, Katie Cooper joined HomeSmart’s leadership team in early 2023 as Chief of Staff, providing valuable insight into the brokerage’s executive operations. Named Chief Operating Officer in 2024, Katie leverages her expertise in human resources, commercial construction management, mergers and acquisitions to support HomeSmart’s exponential growth.

Previously, Katie served in executive roles across various brokerages, including Sotheby’s International Realty. During her tenure with the brokerage, she served as the Vice President, Operations for the largest Sotheby’s affiliate in the world. This experience allowed her to seamlessly transition into consulting, where she served as the CEO and lead strategist at an independent agency, working with real estate brokerages across the nation to streamline and grow their operations and support true, sustainable scalability.

As a part of HomeSmart’s leadership team, Katie spearheads HomeSmart’s brokerage-wide initiatives; she also leads the organization’s overall operations, spanning marketing, relocation, agent services, recruiting, sales and human resources.

When not empowering change within the industry, Katie enjoys spending time with her son Deshoun, traveling and cheering on her beloved sports teams — Go Nuggets!.
